"From Cheap to Chic"

Improvements Magazine, PDF (1 MB)

My design career started in 1979 when I graduated with a degree in Interior Design from Patricia Stevens College in St. Louis. After college, I began my education in quality furniture with Black’s Ethan Allen Gallery in Houston, Texas. I later moved to a position with Ben Rose Fabrics at the Houston Design Center.

I returned to Springfield to be married (and have been for 20 years) but found the local design selections to be a bit lacking. Then by chance, I discovered a store and was the Senior Designer and Floral Designer there for eight years. After gaining some great experience at Periwinkles, I helped a friend open a successful design store in Mt. Olive, which is now also a tea room and gift shop.

Now, I’m working from my home and loving it. I am able to provide the personal service and quality products that I am known for – I’m just doing it a little differently now. My home is my “store.”

My goal as a designer is to not have a recognizable style. I want to work with you, as my client, to accentuate your own tastes and to help you create something unique that can only belong to you.

Please contact me or call me at 217-566-3877 and let me know how, together, we can make your house feel more beautiful, more comfortable, more like a home that is yours alone.
